The uniquely avant-garde creations of Vietnamese fashion designer Nguyễn Hoàng Tú, the mesmerizingly original visualization of Cao Hoàng Long, and gracefully architectural design of architect Nguyễn Thanh Tân will be presented for the public for the first time via an exhibition organised by KÉN at LIM TOWER produced in close collaboration with Ariyasa.

Metamorphosis is “the process by which an animal physically develops after hatching, involving a conspicuous and relatively abrupt change in the animal's body structure through cell growth and differentiation”. Named after this phenomenon, the exhibition aims to explore the trio's obsession with the umbrella concept of 'originality’. Metamorphosis features some of Nguyễn Hoàng Tú’s most memorable and innovative works of his 5-year fashion art journey, selected from the label’s well-kept treasure along with new original pieces for the 2020 collection reserved exclusively for the exhibition. All the pieces are wrapped inside the unique architectural structure designed by architect Nguyễn Thanh Tân of D1 architectural studio taking inspiration from the image of ‘Cocoon’. Lastly, the exhibition specially features a unique visual art in collaboration with artist Cao Hoàng Long developed with the concept of transformation in mind.

Visitors are invited to admire 20 signature creation curated by Nguyễn Hoàng Tú himself while walking inside the architectural labyrinth of Nguyễn Thanh Tân's Cocoon while being mesmerized by the light of Cao Hoàng Long.

Nguyễn Hoàng Tú

(b. 1990) graduated from Ho Chi Minh University of Industry, majored in Fashion Design.

In 2014, he was the only Vietnamese candidate made it to the Top 12 finalists of Audi Star Creation, which is one of the four main events in Asia fashion week - Asia Fashion Exchange – AFX.

As a new breeze in Vietnam fashion industry, he brings fashion designs one step closer to the public. Tu has always been keen on manipulating material to create excellent products. The 27 year-old designer always looks for new shapes and forms; to keep the impressive Ego but still following trends, and respecting nature’s value at the same.

Architect Nguyễn Thanh Tân

founded D1, a Vietnam-based studio for architecture design in 2017 with the mission of crafting characterful cities.

The firm has a reputation for fusing unique grace to buildings via innovative use of local materials and artisans with the philosophy that each project is an internal dialogue between the building and its surrounding buildings, between the building and its city, between the building and its environment. The results are soulful projects with a contemporary approach to the redesign of what makes cities gracefully characterful.

Cao Hoàng Long

(b.1990) is a proactive art director and visual artist based in Saigon. Long marked his artistic direction since 2011 as a visual performance artist and the borderlines will broaden in the future as Long keep challenging himself within his works. Long’s interested in the flexible of time and spaces, as well as the non-fixed between human’s emoticons and states. In between the differences and oxymoron within these definitions above, Long finding a way to bring it together. He keeps continue create and join some exhibitions, also art project to make his visual experiment richer.
